What Do I Do?

I am currently completing my PhD at the University of St Andrews, where I work under the supervision of Anne-Marie Weijmans.

My research is focused on using dynamical modelling to learn about galaxies in ways which would not be accessible using imaging alone. This includes constraining the inclination of distant galaxies, measuring their dark matter content, and learning about their internal structure and evolution. In this work I use data from MaNGA as part of the SDSS collaboration.

Alongside my research, I am extremely passionate about using astronomy to reach out to the general public and those who are not traditionally represented in our field.

I am a representative on the Committee for Equality Diversity and Inclusion in the University of St Andrews School of Physics and Astronomy, and aim to raise awareness and best practice for how to make our field a comfortable place for all.
